Here's some links to some cool stuff on the web. Actually, its mostly
stuff that Bo likes right now, but in the future we'll expand it to
encompass all of our tastes. (He's the only with the time to work on
the page. The rest of us are out scoring or flogging our respective
bishops.) This is the main reason that this page still exists. I know that when I'm looking for webpages, a page like this with a lot of stuff I like is always a big help. I just hope that I'm helping others.
- All Music Guide -This just looks neat. We haven't actually tried it yet.
- Amazon Books -A great place to find books that are hard to find.
- Art Monk Construction -These guys have released lots of cool stuff and are home to Seven Storey Mountain and the Trans Megetti.
- Bottlenekk Distro Online -An unbelievable plethora of music for sale. If they don't have it, I'll be a rabid pig. (I don't know either)
- Caulfield Records -Christie Front Drive, Mineral, Broken Hearts are Blue (with members of Current and Ordination of Aaron) and Sideshow. They also offer a copy of 22 stories by J.D. Salinger that is not available on the market. Need I say more?
- Council Records -Home of Current (get their discography, its incredible), Ordination of Aaron, and Constantine Sankathi. Its run by Matthias Weeks of Current.
- Crank Records-Where else could you find Mineral, Cursive, Vitreous Humor, and Boy's Life all in the same place? (no, I'm not trying to be sarcastic)
- the Death Clock -Its the Death Clock! I die on 4/20-2042, how 'bout you?
- Deep Elm Records -For me, this is where it all began. Home to Camber(being the Gods of rock that they are), Brandtson, Appleseed Cast (formerly December's Tragic Drive), Pop Unknown (ex-Mineral), Cross My Heart (ex-Blank),and the Emo Diaries. We're doing our best to try and get on the fourth chapter of the Emo Diaries so keep your fingers crossed.
- DeSoto Records -Shiner, Jawbox(R.I.P.), and Compound Red.
- Dischord Records -This is an amazing place to find music if you don't know what you're looking for. Fugazi, Rites of Spring, and about a million other great bands.
- D.I.Y. Search -Another place that just seemed cool.
- Doghouse Records -Home to the Get Up Kids, Hot Water Music, and Omaha.
- Ebullition Records -These folks put out Heartattack (a cool zine) and lots of great bands like Fuel (not the one on MTV).
- Equal Vision Records -Here you'll find an odd page but a good one. Home to 108 and Copper, among others.
- File Thirteen Records -Great links and my favorite comp. of all time: "We've Lost Beauty".
- Harmony central guitar tablature -Loads of online tab. You can get to OLGA (online guitar archives) from here.
- Ignition Records -For those of you who love 'em, here's Samiam's label.
- Immigrant Sun Records - Under construction at the moment.
- Initial Records -Where to go if you like Boys Set Fire, Falling Forward, and Elliot. They've also got a great distro.
- Jade Tree Records -The label of choice if you like a bunch of bands with the same people (i.e. Cap'n'Jazz, Promise Ring, Joan of Arc . . .). I'm kidding. They've got Lifetime and Jets to Brazil(ex members of Jawbreaker, Texas is the Reason, and Handsome)too.
- K Records -I'll be honest, I've never been to this site, but I've heard its good.
- Kill Rock Stars Records -Home of Unwound.
- Lumberjack Online Distro -I love this place. Its another great place to find cool music.
- Montgomery Burns Distribution -Once again, a great distro.
- Newbury Comics Online -Well, I'll be, another good distro. If at first you don't succeed, try, try again.
- Old Glory Records -Great label, great music, great distro. A must for all music lovers.
- One Percent Records -Home to M.I.J. and Angels in the Architecture.
- Polyvinyl Records -Braid, Rainer Maria, and Kerosene 454. Now with sound clips
- Punk Planet Online -A great zine.
- Rage Against the Machine's Homepage -Its unanimous. We love Rage
- Revelation Records -Home of Texas is the Reason (the greatest band ever, I'm not kidding. If you disagree with me I still don't care.), Farside, Shades Apart, and Crisis Records (Sparkmarker and Shai Hulud rock).
- Rhetoric Records -Home of None Left Standing and more. A good label from the midwest.
- Rocket Fuel Online -This is a cool online source for sound clips and band info. In other words, its an online zine.
- Saddle Creek Records -Here we find Cursive and a bunch of other bands that I have yet to hear. Why don't you listen up and then email us and tell us what you think.
- Some Records -Home of Six Going on Seven and Error Type: 11.
- Southern Records -Here is where it all comes together.
- Spectra Sonic Sound Records -Franklin, Sparkmarker, and more. Again, I'm not too familiar with this page but it is cool from what I've seen.
- Star Wars -Enough said.
- Sub Pop Records -Home of Sunny Day Real Estate. You have no idea how happy I am that they got back together.
- The Office -We love this little place. Its in our hometown, its friendly, and did we mention that one of us is co-owner and the rest of us help out with other stuff like sanitation, money management, security, booking, the list goes on and on. Also, we're opening a distro focusing on indie rock, emo, punk, and hardcore. If you would like to order from us, we'll have a catalog up soon on the homepage. Just follow this link.
- Thick As Thieves Records -Home of the First Crush comp. and the Gloria Record.
- Tickle Me Emo -This is the best place to find good bands if you like the kind of stuff we like (for the most part. I mean, they don't have Ween, so . . .)
- Tooth & Nail Records -Roadside Monument . . .
- Toybox Records -Hot Water Music, Less Than Jake, and Man or Astroman? have been known to be found here from time to time.
- Trustkill Records -Never been there. Referred by a friend. (and now you can say the same)
- The Ultimate Band List -You'll find lots of bands' web pages here. Labels, too.
- Victory Records -Snapcase. The other bands might be good too, but, Snapcase.
- The Wire Co. -This is the new Internet Service Provider opened by our good buddy Chris (who owns the Office) and Andy (the manager of the Office). We wish them luck. Also, if you live in the Tri-Cities area, their rates are 15.95 per month and upp. What a great deal!
Okay, so I went a little nuts. Cut me some slack, its our / my first
web page. Please give these sites a chance. They all have good music or
help and have been good to us whenever we've dealt with them. On the
other hand, we take no responsibility for the ideals they promote or the
policies they adhere to. Make your own decision in these respects.
And, of course, if we've managed to offend anyone with our comments or
exclusion of something, well, that's just an added bonus. Just
kidding. :-)
